Why We do What We do

We have had people ask us why? Why are we doing what we are doing? Of course, there are many answers to this question.

A big part was that we felt the pull to go out and use the skills and connections that God had given us to connect with, and help more churches worship teams and minister at churches across the US. This has been a big part of our journey so far, and we in turn have learned so much and been ministered to at each church we go to as well.

Somewhere along the way, the quest for more, the quest for stuff, became (almost) void to us. We didn’t have much of a desire for it anymore. We still buy a lot of things, and have more than enough stuff, but our desires changed. We decided we wanted to get out there, and experience more of life than we could in our current lifestyle, and spend more on experiences than things.

Life had also become a little too busy for us, and we felt like we were constantly running in separate directions and not having much time to connect as a family throughout the day. We needed more time together. And living in close quarters and traveling has definitely brought us all closer together. We also knew that if we waited til someday to travel together, we had no guarantee that day would come, or that we would be able to do it then. We knew we could do it now!

In addition to all of this, at the same time, we are still able to keep our kids close, and give them a great education in life, in museums, parks, and all that our country has to offer. Traveling has been even more educational for us than we ever imagined too. There is nothing like standing there in the La Brea Tar Pits in downtown Los Angeles, or at a National Park to really get a grasp on the beauty and history in our country. We are all getting better with geography as we travel and see it all first hand too!

So for those of you who were curious to know why? This is all a large part of why. As we have ventured on, we have found many more reasons why this has been a healthy choice for our family.
